Where our data comes from

Board records come from each country's official register, read on its own terms and kept separate: a seat always says which register it came from. The registers differ in what they publish — the table further down sets them side by side.

Every director and officer of a US-listed company reports their shareholdings to the Securities and Exchange Commission. We read those insider filings, current reports on board changes and shareholder votes, proxy statements, and the SEC's company and financial records.

Wikidata — the open knowledge base. Where no national register covers a company it provides the board itself (0 board seats); everywhere else it only fills gaps, such as a chief executive's start date or a director's photo. 0 organizations are linked to it.
